No Covid deaths at Shropshire hospitals for 35 days
It is now 35 days since the last Covid death at a Shropshire NHS trust.
The latest figures from NHS England show there were no further Covid deaths at county hospitals over the weekend.
It means that the Covid death toll at Shropshire NHS trusts remains 595 – 554 of which came at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, 34 at Shropshire Community Health Trust, and seven at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
The last Covid death of a patient at any of the trusts came on March 21.
The number of deaths in county care homes also remains 296 – 219 in Shropshire and 77 in Telford & Wrekin.
In Powys the number of Covid deaths stands at 267.
