No further Covid-19 deaths at Shropshire hospitals

There have been no further Covid-19 deaths at Shropshire hospitals, the latest figures reveal.

The data confirmed by NHS England means there has not been a death related to coronavirus at county hospitals for 36 days.

It means that the Covid death toll at Shropshire NHS trusts remains 595 – 554 of which came at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, 34 at Shropshire Community Health Trust, and seven at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.

The last Covid death of a patient at any of the trusts came on March 21.

The number of deaths in county care homes also remains 296 – 219 in Shropshire and 77 in Telford & Wrekin.

In Powys the number of Covid deaths stands at 267.

Meanwhile, a total of 46,650,008 vaccinations have been given across the UK – of which 33,752,885 were first doses.
