"Dawley Town, 1909-10" is helpfully chalked on the ball. But where was this picture of Dawley footballers of yesteryear taken? And who is the lady on the far left - normally pictures of football teams of this vintage are all-male affairs. Perhaps she was the licensee of a pub the team used as a base. This picture, loaned by Ray Farlow, is a postcard published by "Baldwin Bros. & Bartlam, Photographers, Dawley, Salop."
