Tethered balloon flights were among the attractions at Shrewsbury Flower Show during Edwardian times - although once the balloon broke free and the passengers had an unexpected journey. On the right is Percival Spencer, one of the balloonists. This picture is from the Geoff Charles Collection held at the National Library of Wales. As Charles was born in 1909, it must be an old picture that he copied.
