We're going back to October 1965 when students from Harper Adams Agricultural College descended on Newport town centre with their annual Rag Day procession. The procession was the climax of the Rag Week in aid of Cancer Research and the Shropshire Association for the Blind. Once inside the town centre, the students "kidnapped" local girls from offices and shops and later "auctioned" them in The Square. Here they are hauling off one of their victims. Unfortunately we don't know her name nor, indeed, how much she sold for.
