Pictures From The Past – January 4Welcome to this week's collection of nostalgia photos from the pages of the Shropshire Star.By Toby NealPublished Jan 4, 2019 CommentsYou don't need a very long memory to remember the traditional red phone kiosks on the street scene, but why was this one at Morville painted white? This old postcard from the collection of Bridgnorth's Ray Farlow does raise that intriguing question. Of course, being a black and white image, we can't be certain it was white, but it certainly is a very light shade, rather than the familiar red. There is no date, but based on the vintage of the van we shall have a guess at around 70 years ago.
