Pictures From The Past – March 29Welcome to this week's collection of nostalgia photos from the pages of the Shropshire Star.By Toby NealPublished Mar 29, 2019 CommentsToday seems a good day to feature this picture from just under 50 years ago when a Shrewsbury team took on the best of Europe and it all got a bit silly. These are competitors taking part in the final of the It's a Knockout competition "Jeux Sans Frontieres" between Shrewsbury and Wolfsburg, Germany, on September 3, 1969, at Blackpool. The result was a draw, with Shrewsbury and Wolfsburg joint winners.
