May is here, so let's mark it by dancing around the maypole. These youngsters are doing just that at High Ercall Primary School around the mid 1950s. The photo came originally from Mrs Janet Owen, of Sundorne, nee Janet Nicholls. Of the maypole dancers, she is second from the left – that is, just left of the one with the dark top and her back to the camera.
