Pictures From The Archive – April 30Welcome to this week's selection of nostalgia photos from the pages of the Shropshire Star.By Toby NealPublished Apr 30, 2021The proclamation of King George V in Low Town, Bridgnorth, on May 12, 1910. They are in front of the Falcon Hotel. This is a postcard and the unpunctuated message on the back reads: "Dear Annie, What do you think of this shouldn't you like to have been there when this was taken love from Auntie Doris/Davies (or something like that, last word difficult to read)." It was addressed to "Miss Annie Taylor, of Blundell, Stottesdon, Cleobury Mortimer, Salop." This is from the large collection of Bridgnorth photos and other historical material which were accumulated by the late John Dixon, of Low Town, Bridgnorth, and loaned by his son Michael.
