Ted Baldwin, the musical director, had blended young and experienced players to form a brass band for the new town in about 1963. According to the memory of another band member, those pictured are believed to be, back, from left, Albert Blakeway, Malcolm Westbrook, two unknowns, Martin Clews, two unknowns, Bill Hollyhead, and unknown. Middle, third along after the drummer, Bob Gittings, George Humphries, Harry Westbrook, unknown, Tom Lynton, two unknowns, and "Druscilla." Front, Danny Lane, two unknowns, Ted Baldwin, Ernie Howells and "Ted Baldwin's son."
