Shropshire cyclists gear up for rides
Cycling UK Shropshire has five rides on offer from Shrewsbury this coming week, two of which are on Sunday.
One is a car assisted, out of county ride to Nets café, which is at Neston, on the Wirral. This will be about 60 miles in length, riding at an average speed of 11 mph and riders should meet at 9.30am in the car park at Malpas.
The other ride on Sunday is to the Bog Centre café, near Stiperstones and then on to the pub at Bridges for lunch. This will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of 10 mph and the ride starts at 9.30am rom The Square.
On may 16 there are also two rides. One is a hilly ride to Ironbridge and this will be about 50 miles in length, riding at an average speed of 11 mph, with a café or pub stop for lunch. The other ride on Tuesday is a ride to Hodnet and this will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of 10mph with a pub stop for lunch. Both rides start at 10am and cyclists should meet under Greyfriars Bridge in The Quarry.
On May 18 there is a ride to Whittington and this will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of 10mph with a pub stop for lunch. The ride starts at 10am and cyclists should meet under Greyfriars Bridge in The Quarry.
