Rod Stewart in Shrewsbury: Road to close for summer gig
One of Shrewsbury's main roads will be shut to traffic to allow thousands of concert-goers to safely get to and from the Rod Stewart concert at Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
Oteley Road will be closed from 4pm to midnight on June 7.
Access will be available to residents and businesses.
Through traffic will be diverted onto the A5 and A5112 Hereford Road.
The singer, known for his hits including Maggie May, Do You Think I'm Sexy and We are Sailing, will hit the stage in front of an expected crowd of 20,000 fans.
In a video made while on tour in Las Vegas, Rod said: "I am very excited to be performing some of my fantastic songs with the band at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. It's going to be an energetic and colourful show and we will be there!"
