Tasty treats at food festival
Foodies will be in seventh heaven when they pay a visit to Ludlow this weekend.
The annual food festival, now in its 23rd year, is expected to attract up to 18,000 food fans eager to taste, learn and watch all things edible.
Festival organisers are hoping for fair weather and that the rain clouds will stay away for the three day event, which is held in the grounds of Ludlow Castle.
Chefs from across the country, and from some of the top kitchens in the land, will be demonstrating their skills.
More than 160 producers, from chutney makers to salt sellers, will be setting up their stalls with some choosing to launch their new range at the show.
Event manager Lindsey Rollings said: "This is definitely a unique festival. Not many can say they are staged in a castle. There is so much on that it is not only great for new visitors but also for those coming back year after year.
"We have new activities for this year and are always thinking of ways to attract people. Almost everything is included in the entrance price, apart from the masterclasses, so it means that it is excellent value for money."
