The West Mercia Force is urging people to look at the restrictions before contacting police.

In a Twitter post yesterday officers said: "We are receiving high numbers of calls to the control today reporting Covid breaches. Please take advice from the government website before reporting suspected breaches. For any guidance around Covid and the current regulations, please also refer to Public Health England website. "

They said people should only ring 999 if there was a danger to life, immediate concern for safety, a crime was happening or there was a serious collision or blockage on the road.
