Four more covid deaths recorded in Shropshire
Some 293 covid-related deaths have been recorded across the UK today () with four of them at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust.
The national death toll of people to have died within 28 days of a positive covid test now stands at 164,491.
The total number of reported deaths at Shropshire's two main hospitals since the start of the coronavirus pandemic has risen to 612, with that rising to 655 when other NHS trusts in the county are considered.
At Shropshire Community Heath Trust the total figure now stands at 36, with a further seven recorded covid-related deaths at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, near Oswestry.
A total of 50,025,020 first vaccination doses, 45,731,565 second jabs and 8,356,172 booster shots have now been administered across the UK.
