The Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Club is expecting between 75 and 100 vintage tractors to take part in the tractor run on April 2, starting at Apley Farm Shop in Norton.

The club was formed in 1986, to represent a spectrum of vintage machinery including agricultural machinery, motorcars, motorcycles, static engines, and steam.

Its members have a wide range of vehicles from full-size steam engines, tractors, lorries, cars, motorcycles, stationary engines and unusual collections from the past.

The members enjoy displaying to others what they have carefully restored, while fundraising for many local charitable organisations. The biggest charity the club supports is the West Midlands Air Ambulance which members have raised more than £75,000 for.

The tractors will be leaving Apley Farm Shop at 10am, and the tractor run will head to Higford, Beckbury, Ryton, Sutton Maddock and Norton.

In Norton, they will head down Cheswardine Lane, through the Apley Estate private roads, exiting onto the A442 near the turn to Bromley.

They will then head up the hill through Bromley and along the road to Stanmore, over the River Severn via the Bridgnorth bypass, along the Ludlow Road and arriving in Bridgnorth’s High Street around 12.30pm.

The tractors will be parked and displayed in the High Street until 2.30pm when they will leave via Whitburn Street, through Low Town and then back along the A442 to Apley Farm Shop, arriving there about 3.30pm.
