Firefighters called to fire at Severn Valley Railway line
Rail services at the Severn Valley Railway had to be halted while firefighters extinguished a fire on a flatbed carriage.
Two fire crews were sent to the scene in Eardington, near Bridgnorth, just before 6pm on Saturday and used a hose reel jet and small gear to deal with the fire.
Firefighters said the fire was caused by a passing locomotive and a stop was put on the line for about 20 minutes while the incident was dealt with.
Meanwhile, firefighters also tackled a car which had gone up in flames in Bridgnorth.
The crew was sent to the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning, after the car had crashed into a wall and a hedge on the B4373.
