Crews tackle machinery fire at Shropshire factory

Emergency crews put out a machine fire at Shropshire engineering works this evening.

Crews went to Grainger & Worrall Ltd, in Bridgnorth, shortly after 6.25pm following reports of a property fire.

Teams based at Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock fire stations used wore breathing gear and used a dry powder extinguisher and hoses to to tackle the incident.

They left at about 7.15pm.

Grainger & Worrall based at Stanmore Industrial Estate specialises in casting and machining metal shapes.

Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended a small fire in a garage at an address, Meadow Dale Drive, in Admaston near Telford after being called there shortly before 3.45pm also on Tuesday.

Two engines based at Wellington attended, but the flames were out when they arrived.
