Driver escapes serious injury in car crash near Bridgnorth

Emergency services were called to Old School Close, in Highley, at 2.30pm on Thursday after reports of one male trapped in a vehicle.

Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said the man was able to exit the vehicle and firefighters from Bridgnorth used small tools and the trauma kit.

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service assessed a man at the scene.

"He didn't require hospital treatment and was discharged," a spokesperson said.
