Two fire appliances were sent to Bradeney House, in Worfield, Bridgnorth, at 7.23am with an operations officer.
When they arrived they found the call had been caused by the accidental activation of break glass call point.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "This incident was a false alarm due to accidental activation of break glass call point."
The incident stop message was received by fire service headquarters at 8.54am.
