The Crown in Bridgnorth's High Street was forced to close off its beer garden on Friday when it began sinking due to clogged sewers - though the pub did host football fans on Sunday for the Women's World Cup final.

It played host to scores of England fans, including the town's junior football team, the Bridgnorth Spartans, as they cheered on the Lionesses in their match against Spain.

Now the pub team is hoping to get the beer garden open again in time for the Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival this weekend, when it is due to host local band Kick the Fridge in their beer garden.
