Between 5pm on January 3 and 12.30pm on January 4, the bonnet was stolen from a Defender in Forester Gardens, Much Wenlock. It was parked on a gravel drive.

A bonnet was also taken from another Defender parked at the Woodbridge Inn in Coalport at about 11.25pm on January 3.

About 30 minutes later, the front doors and front seats were stolen from a Defender parked in an open sided barn on Coalport Road, Broseley. The victim heard muffled voices and engine noise at the time.

Police said the Woodbridge Inn and Coalport Road thefts were linked. Both sets of parts were found nearby in woodland, hidden beneath some rubbish.

Production of the Land Rover Defender ceased in January 2016 and as a result spare parts for the vehicle are in high demand by owners. This has led to an increase in the theft of parts from Land Rover Defenders.

Anybody with information about thefts are asked to call police on 101.
