18 tonnes of grain involved in Shropshire blaze
Some 18 tonnes of grain went up in smoke at a fire in a Shropshire village.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service scrambled two appliances from Much Wenlock and Wellington to Cound at 11.57am on Monday along with an operations officer.
They found one grain dryer containing approximately 18 tonnes of grain, 100 per cent alight.
Crews used a covering jet, a hosereel jet, rakes, shovels, a thermal imaging camera and mat hooks to tackle the blaze.
Fire crews declared a stop to the incident at just before 1.30pm.
