Woman hit by car and two assaulted at Crooked House site as police appeal for witnesses
A woman was hit by a car and two others assaulted by a group of people during an altercation at the site of the now flattened Crooked House.
Staffordshire Police said officers were now investigating reports of a disorder at the site in Himley on Saturday evening.
A camp which was set up at the site, after the famous wonky pub was demolished last month following a huge fire, was dismantled after the incident.
Police said a man and a woman were assaulted by a group of people while in the area.
Both of them got into a car and attempted to drive away, but were obstructed and the vehicle then hit a woman.
She was not seriously injured but was taken to hospital and has since been discharged, police said.
The man and woman in the car later contacted police about what had happened.
