Police appeal to trace Audi after Halesowen hit-and-run
Police are desperately trying to trace a blue Audi that left a woman critically injured following a hit-and-run in Halesowen.
The pedestrian, aged 52, was struck by the Audi on Long Lane at around 8.30pm last Friday, November 23.
She was rushed to hospital with a head injury where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Audi fled the scene.
A 27-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision but was released pending further investigation.
Now West Midlands Police are hoping to trace the Audi, which has the registration plate VF04FYK.
PC Mathew Leeming from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Inquiries are on-going to trace the blue Audi A3 which was displaying the number plate VF04FYK at the time.
“We know that the vehicle will have sustained damage to the windscreen which may now have been repaired. I would appeal to local garages or windscreen repairers to contact me if they have seen a vehicle like this with similar damage.
“I also want to appeal to local residents to keep an eye out and to get in touch if they see an abandoned vehicle that matches this description."
