Stewart Maurice Graves, 67, of Dolanog, Meifod, appeared at a plea and case management hearing at Mold Crown Court on Friday.

He is charged that on January 11 on the A470 Llangurig to Llandinam Road he caused serious injury to Philip Pryce, by driving a Range Rover dangerously.

The charge was not put to him so that his barrister Andrew Green could make an application to dismiss the charge.

Judge Niclas Parry set a time table for the defence to prepare a skeleton argument and for the prosecution to respond.

He said legal arguments would take place on December 14.

Graves – who previously pleaded not guilty plea when he first appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court – was granted bail.
