Arrest after man suffers leg wound in assault

An arrest has been made after a man suffered a puncture wound to his leg.

West Mercia Police were called to High Street, in Kington, at around 11.55pm on Tuesday.

A man in his 60s sustained a puncture wound to his leg and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

His injuries are not though to be life threatening.

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man from Kington on suspicion of assault and he remains in police custody.
