A property listed for sale online has been taken down after a mural depicting Mid Wales based former BNP leader Nick Griffin as Adolf Hitler was spotted.

The giant graffiti-style picture, which states “I have no idols, vote BNP”, appeared in an ad for the three-bedroom home on the site Rightmove.

Griffin is shown as Nazi leader Hitler, while his eyes also appear to have swastikas inside them, however it is not clear if the image is pro-BNP, or intended to mock Griffin and the far-right party.

Rightmove have said the image was from its listing from a property in Didcot, Oxfordshire, and a spokesman said: “As soon as we were made aware of the image in this property listing we immediately spoke to the estate agent advertising on our platform and they have removed it.”

Griffin, of Llanerfyl, Welshpool, led the British National Party from 1999 to 2014, and served as an MEP.

He was once given a suspended sentence for inciting racial hatred, and was declared bankrupt in 2014, before being expelled from the BNP later that year.
