Post office services resume in village store
A mid Wales village is to continue to have a post office service, despite the building were it has been based closing.
A branch will open later this morth at Llangadafan at Village Shop, replacing Foel Post Office, which is temporarily closed.
The Post Office in the stores will be open seven days a week. Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5pm; Saturday: 8.30am – 4pm; Sunday: 8.30am – 2pm.
It will start running on January 22.
Carol Williams from the Post Office Network Provision team said: "This is more than 55 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers. Post Office services will be provided from a counter alongside the retail till of the village shop store.
“We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to this area as we know how important these services are to a community.”
"We were keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible, so we have decided to go ahead with our plans. However, we are looking for feedback on the plan until February 5. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 505641."
