Woman airlifted to hospital after car crashes into house
A woman was airlifted to hospital after a car crashed into a house on the Shropshire/north Wales border.
The crash happened on Wednesday night on the A539 between Overton and the Cross Foxes.
Police say the car left the road and crashed into a house.
The driver, a woman in her 30s, suffered serious injuries and, after been cut from the wreckage of the car, was taken by air ambulance to the trauma unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The road was closed as the emergency services fought to rescued the driver.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said the woman had been driving a silver-coloured Vauxhall Zafira towards Overton. It left the road and collided with a house. No other vehicle was involved.
"We are urging anybody who may have been travelling along the A539 in the area before 7:30pm last night and who may have dash cam footage to contact us,” a police spokesman said.
Anybody with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is urged to contact officers at North Wales Police Eastern Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via live web chat quoting reference number 21000074173.
