Woman taken to hospital after car veers into hedge

A woman was freed from a car which veered off a main road in Powys.

The car left the A459 carriageway in Bryn Tanat, Llansanffraid, and came to rest in a hedge shortly after 7.10pm on Friday.

A crew based at Oswestry Fire Station joined Mid and West Wales Fire Service at the scene.

A fire service Facebook post stated: "One adult female rescued from a saloon vehicle which had been involved in a collision with hedge and undergrowth. Vehicle came to rest on its side.

"Casualty conveyed to hospital via land ambulance."
