Man tasered after reports of assault
Armed police were called to Llanfyllin in the early hours after reports that a woman had been assaulted.
A 37-year-old man was tasered and arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Dyfed Powys Police said officers were called to a disturbance at a property in Llanfyllin about 20 minutes after midnight on Thursday morning.
“A man was reported to have assaulted a female member of the public, and was found be in possession of a knife.
“A Taser was discharged, and the man was detained and arrested and taken to custody.”
The Joint Firearms Unit tweeted: “On arrival at scene officers were confronted by a subject in possession of knives and successfully utilised Taser to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.”
