Crefft Cymru - a new fair celebrating all things craft including artisan food & drink producers, will be held on May 29 and 30.

The outdoor grounds at Y Dolydd on the edge of the town will host up to 32 stands for exhibitors to revive the craft industry that relies on markets and passing trade. A selection of the artist tenants will also open their studios with

exhibitions and demonstrations.

Llanfyllin has been a market town since 1293 and the organisers say the tradition will continue with Crefft Cymru.

"The weekend will include a comprehensive programme of demos, exhibitions and live music not to mention tasty food and drink all locally sourced to keep energy up," a spokesman said.

"We are hoping for an exciting weekend for all the family."
