Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following accident on the A470 at Llanidloes

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with injuries described as "serious" following an accident on the A470 at Llanidloes at around 12.30pm today.

Dyfed-Powys Police were called to a collision involving two motorcycles and officers are still on the scene.

The Welsh Government’s traffic information service for motorways and trunk roads say the road has been closed in both directions.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and diversions have been put in place.
