Jones was ruled to have benefitted from her crimes by more than £400,000.

Ann Jones appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court for a proceeds of crime hearing, relating to her convictions for stealing from two Shropshire firms.

Jones, aged 64, of Heritage Way, Llanymynech, was jailed for two years and eight months in 2018 for stealing £122,000 from Jim Dorricott Construction Ltd of Minsterley, near Shrewsbury.

After hearing about that case, her previous employer, Oswestry-based CV Rollers, began checking historic records and it was found she had also conned that business out of £76,000 over eight years.

As a result, in 2020 Jones was returned to court for the offences and jailed for a further 12 months.
