Businesswoman Emma Bernard has nailed it when it comes to beauty.

Emma has been shortlisted in an all Wales competition to find the best of the best in the hair and beauty industry.

The owner of the Nailed It! Salon & Training Academy in Welshpool she has been shortlisted in nail technician of the year category for the second year running.

"I cannot believe I am a finalist again as the competition is so much tougher this year. To be a finalist again for 2017 is amazing, coming as we are just launching our training academy it really is the icing on the cake. I am so proud to represent Welshpool once again."

A diverse range of accolades up for grabs, including Spa of the Year, Salon Design of the Year, to the much sought after Beauty Salon

of the Year and many others.

Irfan Younis, the chief executive of event organiser, Creative Oceanic said: “We have had a fantastic response from the public, who voted in their thousands to ensure their favourite hair and beauty gurus and establishments secured a spot as finalists.”

“The hair and beauty is an industry that employs thousands across Wales and we want to recognise all the professionals and businesses hat ensure the high standard of the sector. The event has grown year-on-year as attendees travel from across Wales to participate. We

would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck and we look forward to delivering yet another unforgettable and fun event.”

The fourth annual Welsh Hair & Beauty Awards will be held on May 21 at Cardiff Stadium.

The awards seek to provide a platform to acknowledge and honour the work of the best professionals and businesses in the Welsh hair and beauty industry.
