Man taken to hospital after battery explosion in Welshpool
A man was taken to hospital after a battery exploded at an industrial premises.
Emergency services were called to the unit on the industrial estate off Severn Road in Welshpool at 9.30am.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service said a battery exploded on a hydraulic platform.
"There was no fire and firefighters from Welshpool carried out safety checks," a spokesman said.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
