Wild weasel pilot in Welshpool talk
A retired Colonel from the US Air Force is making a return visit to Welshpool to talk about his experiences in hazardous missions during the Vietnam War.
Colonel Richard Graham spoke in the town last May telling of his time flying the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane during which he took part in secret missions during the height of the Cold War.
In his return to the town on April 20 he will speak about his experiences during Vietnam flying Phantom jets as a Wild Weasel pilot, which involved missions to identify and destroy surface to air missile sites.
The talk at Welshpool Town Hall starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are £10, and can be bought on the door or alternatively at Welshpool tourist information centre.
