Fuel tanker stolen

A fuel tanker containing thousands of pounds worth of diesel has been stolen from a quarry.

The red, Bowen and Sons vehicle, was parked at the Tan Y Foel Quarry in Cefn Coch, Welshpool when it was taken by thieves.

Dyfed-Powys Police say is the fuel tanker contained approximately 8,500 litres of diesel - 4,000 litres of red diesel and 4,500 litres of white diesel.

The vehicle was taken between 5.30pm on Wednesday, May 23 and 6am on Thursday, May 24.

Police say they want to hear from anyone who may have seen the tanker or who may have been offered diesel for sale.
