The A483 between Berriew and Welshpool was shut as a result of a collision between two vehicles at about 2pm on Thursday, Dyfed-Powys Police said.

One person was injured and went to a minor injuries unit. Paramedics were called but stood down before arriving.

A statement from the police said: “Officers attended and the road was closed as it was blocked, with one person suspected to have been injured.”

The vehicles were recovered and the road reopened at around 3:40pm.

A spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service had no record of the service being called out to help.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area while the road was closed.
