Police probe farm fire near Newport
Police are investigating a fire which swept through two barns used to store farm machinery on a farm near Newport.
Five fire engines were called to the fire, which broke out just before 2.30am today in at Tibberton.
The fire appliances including the water carrier were mobilised from Newport, Oswestry, Telford and Wellington. Operations, fire investigation and safety officers were also in attendance.
Crews used hosereel jets to tackle the flames.
Also at the scene were officers from West Mercia Police and a utility company.
The fire involved two single storey agricultural buildings containing farm machinery. It took more than two hours to contain the fire.
