Fire at Market Drayton barber shop
Part of Market Drayton town centre had to be closed off after a fire broke out in a basement of a barber shop.
Firefighters were called at about 9.15am this morning to a fire at Town Barbers in High Street.
Three fire engines from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Prees attended.
The fire involved two light fittings in the basement of the shop.
Crews used breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera, a covering jet and a hose reel jet to deal with the fire.
A spokesman for Market Drayton Fire Station said: "There was smoke logging in the basement but minimal damage."
The incident, which caused the shop to be closed for a short time, was under control within an hour.
