Drivers clocked at more than 80MPH in Shropshire village's 40mph zone
Two vehicles have been clocked travelling at more than 80mph in a 40mph zone.
The speeding motorists were captured by a vehicle-activated sign at Crossways in Pipe Gate, near Market Drayton.
Several other cars have travelled past the sign at speeds in excess of 60mph from September 19 to Tuesday.
Malcolm Blake, of Woore Parish Council, said: "Many vehicles were doing 70 and above, many of which are at busy times of the day.
"One vehicle was doing 71mph between 2pm and 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon, one was doing 70 between 8am and 9am on a Sunday morning and one was doing 70 between 11am and 12pm on a Sunday morning.
"Numerous vehicles were exceeding 60mph. Two vehicles exceeded 80mph – the fastest doing 83mph between 9pm and 10pm on a Monday evening.
"The graph for the week commencing the12th is similar, with many vehicles exceeding 60mph and again some over 70mph."
