200 Market Drayton properties hit by power cut
More than 200 properties were left without power in Market Drayton today.
Western Power Distribution confirmed that 208 properties, including in Stafford Street, were without power after a fault was discovered.
Engineers were called to the scene to try to restore the power to the properties.
A spokeswoman for Western Power Distribution said: "There is a fault on the high voltage network which has affected 208 properties.
"Engineers are currently on site trying to restore the power.
"We don't have a cause as yet. We like to restore the power first before worrying about the cause afterwards.
"We would like to apologise to people for any inconvenience."
Power was returning to properties from 2pm.
