Telephone failure hits medical centre near Market Drayton
Staff at a medical centre have been forced to apologise to patients following a telephone system failure.
The fault made it difficult for patients to get through to Hodnet Medical Centre near Market Drayton.
It is believed the technical problem caused calls to be rerouted to Shropdoc where the answering service advised people that it was closed and people should dial their GP direct.
A statement on behalf of the medical centre said: "Hodnet Medical Centre would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by our recent telephone system failure on Friday, November 10 and again on the morning of Monday, November 13.
"Please be assured that we are working very closely with BT to resolve the issue as a matter of urgency."
Yesterday, the phone line at the medical centre seemed to be working fine.
