Georgia Walton: Family pays tribute to Market Drayton crash victim , 17

The family of a teenager who died following a crash near Market Drayton have paid tribute to their daughter.

Georgia Walton, 17, who lived in the town, was involved in a crash on the A53 on November 26.

Police were called to the A53 at Blore Heath at about 10.35pm after the car Georgia was driving, a red Suzuki Alto, was involved in a collision with an HGV.

Georgia died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

Her parents, Ian and Sam Walton, said: "As a person she would do anything for you without question – so kind, caring – testaments of Facebook show that.

"Her outlook on life was very positive and she was very hard working in the jobs that she did.

"She just loved her animals – her main aim was to become a criminal psychologist. We will miss her forever."

Georgia, who went to Grove College in Market Drayton, also appeared as a background artist on Netflix programme Free Rein.

"Her horse trainer asked her to be a background artist and it started from there. She was proud of it and did it for the first and second series," said her parents.

"Her life was her horses – her horse Murphy was her best friend and they did everything together.

"They did a lot of eventing in the summer and dressage.

"She was a big part of S&G equestrian centre at Ollerton, Market Dayton," her parents said.

They are now inviting anyone who was close to Georgia to join them to celebrate her life at her funeral, which will take place at 11am on December 15 in Little Drayton Church, Market Drayton.

Her parents added: "We have been overwhelmed and grateful with the support that we have received from the town at this sad time.

"We have chosen to hold an open funeral and would like to invite anyone who was close with Georgia throughout her life to join us for a celebration of her life.

"Georgia will take her last journey through the town on a horse-drawn carriage so please be mindful when you are out and about that it will be a slow procession.

"As Georgia was a keen rider we are planning a 'ladies day at Ascot – dress to impress’ theme for clothing which of course will be optional.

"Many thanks again to everyone for your ongoing support and we look forward to seeing you all to celebrate Georgia’s life."
