Tree falls onto pedestrian in Market Drayton
A pedestrian was taken to hospital today after a tree fell down in Market Drayton
Paramedics said the woman was "lucky to be alive" after sustaining serious injuries.
Emergency services, including the Midlands Air Ambulance, were called to reports of a person trapped under a fallen tree on Frogmore Road at 11.39am.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent three crews from Market Drayton, Hodnet and Wellington.
They used electric saws and hand saws to free a who was then taken to hospital via ambulance.
The footpath between B&M and the library was closed for the tree to be cleared.
