The Fordhall Organic Farm, near Market Drayton, will host a Spooktacular party on Sunday featuring a variety of activities for children and adults alike.

Charlotte Hollins from the farm said the event would provide the fun of Halloween without too much actual fear.

She said: “Our Halloween party is really aimed at young families who want to enjoy the atmosphere of Halloween without too much of the terror.

“We’ll have a host of traditional activities, such as apple bobbing, pumpkin carving and crafts, but also some special attractions to make our guests’ spines tingle just a little, including I’m a Celebrity style Feely Boxes, a ghost tunnel and a spooky photo booth.”

There will also be storytelling by Jake's Take and an appearance by Shropshire Falconry, as well as a show from the Jester Jack team.

Visitors will be able to have their fortunes told, visit a fairy pool, make Halloween decorations and take part in a Monster Mash disco.

There will be a 'fire show' demonstration once the sun goes down.

The event will run from 5pm to 8pm, and the farm advises visitors to bring outdoor boots and a torch.

Entry will cost £4, with under four children getting in free. A family ticket for two adults and two children is £15.
