Market Drayton's mayor welcomes town's newest barber business
A pair of barbers have struck out on their own, starting up a new shop in Market Drayton.
The Handsome House opened last week in Shropshire Street by co-owners Gabby Pember and Clare Walker.
They had previously worked together at another barber's in the town before Clare suggested they set up their own business.
Gabby said most of the shop's clients are men, but the team also cuts women's and children's hair.
Town mayor Mark Whittle met with the owners to congratulate them, and he welcomed a new independent business in the centre of Market Drayton.
The first day of business was celebrated with a social open evening.
