Victoria Hilton's watercolour works and other paintings of Shropshire scenes currently adorn the walls of Jones's coffee house in Market Drayton, and will be on display throughout April.

Victoria has been an artist for more than 30 years and runs a studio in the town, and said she was grateful for the opportunity to share her work with the clientèle at Jones's.

Carol Jones, who opened the sister shop in Whitchurch 20 years ago, hosts a different exhibit every month at both branches.

She said: "I've always had exhibitions at the coffee shops in Whitchurch and Market Drayton and I've always had an interest in art.

"It is a bit of a symbiotic relationship because I get a nice display art and the artist gets to exhibit their art."

Carol said her schedule of artists is booked up for about a year in advance, and that anyone wishing to get involved should bring a sample of their work to either of the branches.

The shops are at Market Drayton's High Street and Green End in Whitchurch.
